Music lovers just want to party, not songs that will advise them - Iona Reine

Ghanaian dancehall singer, Iona Reine is convinced that most music lovers nowadays are not interested in the lyrics of a song, rather, they just want a simple song they can sing along and dance to.

Iona Reine is a singer, songwriter and a midwife by profession. She is very versatile and has written few hit songs which are currently on all digital platforms.

The singer while speaking with DJ Slash on Rainbow Radio 87.5 Fm, told the host that the music industry have changed over the years, and that Ghanaians do not want sings with a lot of lyrics.

Iona further disclosed that, music lovers do not want songs that will advise them, but songs they can easily sing along and dance to. That's why she said that all musicians ought to be careful because, they can be easily swayed while trying to please their fans.

Iona also asserted that, what the artiste sings, paints a picture about them.
